Parent/Student Reviews

We are so grateful to Lisa for helping us figure out the complexities of transferring colleges. With Lisa’s guidance, not only did my son find the right fit but he succeeded in getting 95% of his credits transferred to his new school. Lisa’s kind encouragement and her in-depth knowledge of college admissions made the process stress-free during an uncertain time. We highly recommend her.

Both of our daughters had the pleasure of working with Lisa. She took the time to get to know them as individuals and understood their unique interests and styles. Lisa’s thoughtful guidance brought out the very best in each of our daughters which resulted in optimal admissions options.

I am so grateful for everything Lisa did to help out John and Paige. She was a vitally important person in their college application process and the outcome was everything they wanted! They got into their top choice schools and they are thrilled, as am I!

As a prospective college-bound student, attending my local high school in the western suburbs of the Chicagoland area, I knew I needed someone to help guide me through the daunting college application process. Since I would be the first in my family to attend a university, I didn’t have access to mentors in my immediate network. Lisa helped me explore which schools were the “right fit” for me. Unlike school counselors or college admissions corporations, Lisa treats her students as unique candidates that have their own special abilities and strengths, pointing out what college admissions officers are looking for. Thus, not every student has the exact same template for success. We worked on looking for a school that could meet my cost, keep me in a joyous mood, and provide me with a life-long and everlasting education that is not only focused on academics but my character as well. Most importantly, Lisa helped me to build confidence in myself and my own abilities.

Without Lisa’s guidance and motivation, I don’t know if I even would’ve applied to Vanderbilt in the first place. Getting into Vanderbilt was life-changing for me and the joy it brought me was priceless. Lisa has truly changed my life for the better.

Lisa fostered my creative, energetic excitement and balanced it with keeping all of my application material focused, clear and concise. Lisa consistently provided me with research about the programs I expressed interest in and offered really helpful application tips. We worked as a team and ensured that every element I submitted presented the best possible version of myself. Rather than being stressed, my college application process was exciting and enjoyable. Even after my applications were all in, Lisa helped me write an additional writing prompt which got me off the waiting list and admitted to the college I attend now! I truly cannot recommend her enough!

I was looking for a college consultant because I had a long list of reach schools and I wanted to put together the best application that I possibly could. Lisa made this possible. She helped me in every part of the process, from my essays to my Common App activity list. She was incredibly warm and kind while still being candid with me about what I needed to improve on. I am usually hesitant to share my writing with people, but she made it so comfortable and easy that I ended up sending her numerous drafts, even for my school-specific essays. She helped me transform my scattered ideas into a beautiful, coherent essay that showcased my interests and values. As a busy high school student, I always appreciated Lisa’s flexibility to meet whenever it was convenient for me. Because of Lisa, I was accepted into some of my top reach schools, including Villanova, University of Miami, and Northwestern University. I was ecstatic to receive these acceptances and many more, including one that made a personal comment on the creativity of my essay. When I eventually decided to attend Northwestern, Lisa was the first person I wanted to tell!

I learned a tremendous amount about myself throughout the college application process because of Lisa. She was extremely constructive and helpful in her feedback; it was clear that she wanted the best for me, and I came out of every meeting excited to continue working. Lisa encouraged me paint an authentic picture of myself in my college applications, and that led me into getting into the college that was the perfect fit for me. I was jumping with joy when I discovered that I got into Brown. When I clicked on the “View Decision” hyperlink and saw the “Welcome to Brown” image, I knew all of our hard work had paid off.
